Informatics

Medical Mosaic offers a wide range of services and experience in health informatics, across all sectors, both nationally and locally, of health care and also in social care. We approach health informatics in the way in which we approach other service improvement areas.

This approach is especially true in the current climate where IM&T is seen as a candidate for cutting and saving costs that do not hit "front-line" services. The IM&T Department often faces the challenge of achieving a higher proportion of cost savings rather than being seen as an enabler of service and cost improvements.

IM&T needs to be seen as an enabler to front-line services in achieving cost and quality improvements, and for IM&T enabled savings to be shared.  We use our experience across health informatics and cost improvement programmes as the basis for an engagement led approach that helps IM&T departments and service departments work together, defining models for sharing CIP targets and avoid silo working. It is never more true that a benefits led approach to IM&T is key in allowing appropriate investment, not cuts, in IM&T.
