Simon Brewer

Simon combines dynamic leadership skills with executive experience of business and service delivery across  the NHS and independent sector. He is a registered health care practitioner (Biomedical Scientist) with over 20 years’ operational experience. 

Simon was lead scientist at strategic health authority level, overseeing professional development of the workforce and Pathology Modernisation and has also undertaken senior management roles at local, regional and national levels. Simon has proven ability to work in partnership to deliver innovation and change in healthcare.

Most recently, Simon was the Chief Operating Officer for GSTS Pathology, the first joint venture in pathology, to create, develop and deliver a new paradigm for pathology services in the UK. Managing to improve quality outcomes and performance measures whilst reducing costs and absorbing increased activity.
