Ros Hitchen

Ros is an experienced business coach and facilitator, skills which, when combined with extensive experience in project and programme management, consultancy, leadership and professional development, add considerable value to her clients.

 

Ros has worked with a number of diverse industries including health, travel, communications, education and legal.  In th health sector, Ros has designed and facilitated engagement workshops for a variety of NHS clients including the Department of Health Pathology modernisation programme on Point of Care Testing (POCT) Accreditation. These involved exploring the impact of an accredited point of care testing service with groups from laboratory staff, primary care, pharmacy and ambulance service. A key policy area with which Ros assisted was to do with patients accessing their own test results.  She designed and ran a workshop which explored the drivers and inhibitors to patient access to their pathology data with group including patient representatives and clinicians.

Ros is highly skilled at developing formal definition of complex strategic transformation programmes, and applied this successfully to helping to initiate an SHA's Pathology Modrnisation programme. In health informatics, Ros ran a workshop for NHS Connecting for Health to gain patient engagement in national data standards work.  Ros has coached teams to improve their communications and to develop effective strategies for  improving their business interactions.
