David Irwin

David is a qualified accountant and has over 30 years experience of working  within the public sector including local authorities, the former nationalised industries  and the NHS. David has worked at Finance Director and deputy CEO level in the NHS and has also worked extensively as an independent management consultant supporting  Primary Care Trusts and NHS Trusts.

His work has included the preparation of business cases for capital and revenue investment, evaluating equipment leases. Acute care and mental health commissioning and cost improvement plans/savings initiatives, supporting NHS bodies with tendering evaluation and selection for primary care services in prisons, and learning disability services, and  joint working across health and social care.  

David has extensive experience of working with management teams and boards and is a motivated team player.
